Website evaluation

Image
Thursday 15th June 2023 LO:  to refine and evaluate my website.  Website link: https://poppyd2020.wixsite.com/my-site-2 Homepage screenshots: I also started to design and create the cookies page as i had extra time. Evaluation: My website- my website is called Sweet as Sugar and it is a baking site that provides recipes and it is aimed towards teenagers. Some of the recipes included cakes, cupcakes, cookies and brownies. I wanted the site to provide easy recipes so it could be inclusive of all different skill levels. Also, a lot of teenagers have to study so the idea was that they could quickly make one of these and enjoy them while doing work. How i made it- I started off with a template for a cooking website and altered it to fit my brand. I used a text box to put in my title and then just changed the font. I imported my logo from photoshop and then added the menu buttons. I then changed all the pictures to fit my baking site and changed the text to provide recipes and als...

brand design

Image
Tuesday 23rd May 2023 LO: To create effective logos and a clear brand identity. colour- I used these colours to make up the cookie because i wanted it to have a natural link and these are the colours of a cookie. shape- I used a circle because they are the shape associated with a warm and welcoming place and also they are the shape of most cookies. font style- I used this font because i think it goes well with the logo and also it gives off the welcoming and homey vibe i was going for. Design- I use the colours tan and brown. The font was a baking font from DaFont.  Colour- I used purple and the colours of the baked goods because the connotations of purple are peace and creativity. Again, I wanted the baked goods to look natural because i think crazy coloured ones would just ruin the logo. shape- I used a circle again because they are associated with coziness and because there are no corners circles are unable to harm you. font style- I went with the same style as last time b...

News day Evaluation

Tuesday 25th April 2023 LO: To evaluate and review our News Day project. In our group there were three members: Me, George and Lauren. Lauren asked the interview questions and helped us edit the clips together. She also helped to write the report and anchor introduction while George was an anchor and also helped to edit. I was an anchor with George and introduced all of the stories, including our own. I was also a reporter, and edited it and i wrote the anchor introduction and the story. We were researching and writing about the student protests that occurred at Penrice Academy a few months ago. My favourite part of this was filming the anchor introductions because i found it fun to read off of the autocue. My least part was the editing as me and my dear friend George had to edit all of the anchor introductions and therefore had to watch ourselves. I learnt how to work a camera and to not be awkward while being filmed. My editing skills also improved. I learnt that the news proces...

Home Learning Work

Tuesday 10th January 2022 Task: Choose a film from one genre and explain, in detail, how you would change it to a different genre. For this task, I chose Harry Potter and the goblet of fire from the fantasy genre to turn into a comedy. Locations: The first location I would change in this film is the black lake. There are horrifying creatures in there, and the water is incredibly dark, hence it being called the black lake. One of the conventions of comedy is happiness and light, so you could change the colour of the water in the black lake to a clear blue (which would include more comedy because the water is a bright blue but it's still called the black lake), and still have some creatures but things such as innocent looking water snakes, or a funny-looking three eyed fish. The second location i would change is the library as in the film it's again incredibly dark. It is set at night, however I would change the time of day to daytime and then have the characters enter the librar...
